Brian R. ...My passion in college was Chemistry, so if you need help with any high school or college level Chem classes, I'm your guy. My strength in particular (and the subject of my thesis) was Organic Chemistry. Along the way I picked up some fluency in introductory Biology, Physics, and Math courses, any of which I would also be happy to teach.

Christine B. ...My husband and I have a five year old (going on 20), a three year old and a one year old, along with our first born, our dog. As a teacher, I believe in a balanced based approach between the "new math" and traditional teaching methods. John B. ...Knowing a fact like the Pythagorean Theorem is one thing, but knowing where and how that fact connects to others is a much more satisfying and effective way to learn. I expect this of all my students and hold myself to the same standard.

I tell all of my students each and every year: It is wonderful to know how to do the math in terms of knowing all of the formulas, rules, etc. The real value is having the capability to take the knowledge of these skills and to apply them to solving problems in everyday life.
