Shannon H. ...Listening to a lecture on how to clone DNA or identify a chemical functional group through infrared spectroscopy was useless for me. I didn't understand until I did it in a laboratory setting. So I am comfortable talking about topics, but also given examples, showing videos, asking questions, etc, to ensure that you actually learn and understand the material.

Shannon C. ...The core of biology, in my opinion, is instruction in the theory of evolution and basic biochemistry. With mastery of these two topics, the rest of biology and related bio-classes comes much easier. Since starting with WyzAnt, I've tutored a number of students in chemistry, at both the high school and college levels.

Anna J. ...I have thought a lot about the mechanism of developing a concept, presentation, talk and then how to deliver so everyone in the audience understands. I would love to help others find that place too!

Cristiana P. ...I pride myself on using universal comparatives and tangible examples so that my students can understand even abstract principles in their own terms. Donald S. ...I am a retired physician. I decided to tutor after my retirement because I enjoy working with students of all ages, and I love exploring these subjects myself. Many students have had instruction in school that has not met their needs and left them with significant gaps in their understanding.
