Thomas C. I am a 5th year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at University of Delaware. Teaching / tutoring comes very naturally to me. I've had a lot of success helping younger students understand difficult concepts because I'm able to explain abstract ideas in a tangible way (kind of what you should expect from an engineer).

One of the techniques that I utilize is called SQ3R. It helps students study as well as retain information that they read or learn about in class.

Jonathan R. ...As an adult, I continue to learn about proper grammar, even reading books such as "The Grouchy Grammarian," which details the 47 mistakes most commonly made by professional writers. I know my grammar, and I know how to explain its rules to others. Geometry is one of my favorite subjects to teach because of its implications.
