Fractions, I have learned, are not a favorite with students, with or without variables. The parabola along with the other Conic Sections might also be taught after the basic line, slope, and equations.

Lauren E. ...I prefer to tutor in person in one or two hour blocks. I find that most students start to lose focus after about two hours, and also that tutoring in person is more effective. I am willing to travel up to half an hour to my students.
