Heidi B. I was born to teach. I wanted it since I was in second grade and never swayed from the idea. I taught in a parochial school for 17 1/2 years (the school closed or I would still be there) and then 2 years at a private school (got laid off). I, unlike many people, loved to get up each morning and go to work.

For me, learning math and science has been more than a means to obtain a degree.
