I have never had "any" exposure to algebra. This is a request for recommendations on appropriate training aids that I may want to consider. (ex. Algebra for Dummies, etc.)
If you're willing to attempt self-study, a "Dummies" style book should be fine. Check your local library or used book store. There are also online resources, such as
Purplemath's algebra lessons.
But the best bet is usually to enroll in an appropriate sequence of courses at your local community college.
