I don't get why they have the extra restriction on x, since this is linear anyway. But maybe they want you to do this like a system of inequalities, where you solve the first one and then see where it matches the second one. The solution will be the overlap between the two solutions.
So start the first one like you'd do for a linear equation with subtracting the 2x and adding the 2 and then dividing through. See what you get. If you get confused or something, please write back. Thanks.
