1. you worked 14 hours last week and earned a total of $96 before taxes. your job as a lifeguard pays 48 per hour, and your job as a cashier pay $6 per hour. how many hours did you work at each job?

if you did X hrs for lifeguard job then you did 14-X for oter job
if you got 48X$ for lifeguard job then you got 6(14-X) for other job
add the money and put it = to total
