General Form of line that passes through (-2,6) and (-4,-10)

Write the equation of the line that passes through (-2,6) and (-4,-10). Give the answer in general form.

I've already done this:

-10 - 6
-4-(-2)

= -16/-2 = 8

But what do I do next?

Put the slope and one of the points (either one) into one of the line equation formulas. They show how here. The point-slope form starts as (y - 6) = 8(x + 2) if you use the first point.
