is a line parallel to the y axis. Note that for all line parallel to the x and y axis their gradients are zero.If given y=8

Are you doing the graph like you say here or are you finding the slope like you say in the subject? They show the slope for "x=" lines at the bottom here. It also shows a graph example. (They're all vertical through the x like it shows there.)
