As I am new in this plz can some one help me to simplify this expression ,i try but i am not sure is it corect or wrong.
expression is
F=A'.B'(A.B+B')

F=A'.B'(AB+B')
F=A'.B'(A+B+B') BY USING DEMORGAN LAW
F=A'.B'(A+(B+B')) By rearranging above expression
F=A'.B'(A+1) BY USING RULE#11
F=A'.B' BY USING RULE #5
F=(A+B)'

F=A'.B'(A.B+B')

Does the "prime" notation (the apostrophe after the letters) mean "not", or "complement", or something else? What does "plus" mean? What does the "dot" mean? Is there any "priority" so, say, the "dot" binds more tightly than does the "plus" -- so A.B+B' means (A.B)+B'? Thanks!

From "gate" I'm going to guess that you're doing circuits, etc, like they talk about here that "complement" means logical "not". I'm assuming that the "math" stuff follows the usual order of operations rules so you have this:

(not-A and not-B) and ([A and B] or not-B)

Are there any rules here that you're not allowed to use? Thanks!
