Can anyone learn me how to simplify following

d/sqrt(2*A*d/h)*A+sqrt(2*A*d/h)/2*h

to this

sqrt(2*A*d*h)

Just to be sure, is this what you're startring with?

$\displaystyle{\frac{d}{\sqrt{\frac{2Ad}{h}}A}\, +\, \frac{\sqrt{\frac{2Ad}{h}}}{2h}}$

So -- neatening things up a bit -- it's like this:

$\frac{A_c d}{\sqrt{\frac{2A_c d}{h}}}\, +\, \frac{\left(\sqrt{\frac{2A_c d}{h}}\right)(h)}{2}$

You can do this in little pieces, maybe like this:

$\frac{A_c d}{\sqrt{\frac{2A_c d}{h}}}\, +\, \frac{\left(\sqrt{\frac{2A_c d}{h}}\right)(h)}{2}\, =\, \left(\frac{A_c d}{1}\right)\left(\sqrt{\frac{h}{2A_c d}}\right)\, +\, \left(\sqrt{\frac{2A_c d}{h}}\right)\left(\frac{h}{2}\right)$

Get rid of the roots in the denominators:

$\sqrt{\frac{h}{2A_c d}}\, =\, \frac{\sqrt{2A_c dh}}{2A_c d}$

$\sqrt{\frac{2A_c d}{h}}\, =\, \frac{\sqrt{2A_c dh}}{h}$

Common denominoators:

$\left(\frac{A_c d}{1}\right)\left(\frac{\sqrt{2A_c dh}}{2A_c d}\right)\, +\, \left(\frac{h}{2}\right)\left(\frac{\sqrt{2A_c dh}}{h}\right)\, =\, \left(\frac{1}{1}\right)\left(\frac{\sqrt{2A_c dh}}{2}\right)\, +\, \left(\frac{1}{2}\right)\left(\frac{\sqrt{2A_c dh}}{1}\right)$
