I am confused with this question, can someone please help me answer it:
Q: An automobile company manufactures twice as many red cars (r) as blue cars (b) in a normal daily production run of 1,000 cars. The company runs production 5 days a week. Which of the following represents the company's weekly production?
a) 2b+b=5,000
b) 5(2b+b)=1,000
c) 2r+r=5,000
d) 5(2r+r)=1,000

should the answer be 1000 or 5000. thanks

they give you the amount for a "daily" run, and they ask you for an expression for the weekly run, using five days for one week. multiply to get the number you need.
