Hi Guys,

I have a question that is giving me some trouble.

F(x) = (1/2x)^5.

Trying to get the F ' (x) I do the following,

Using the exponent law I get d/dx (1/2x)^5 x d/dx (1/2x).

=> 5(1/2x)^4 x (1/2)

=> 5/2 (1/2x)^4

=> (5/4x)^4.

Then Answer Is (5/32x)^4. What Am I doing Wrong?

Any help would be greatyl appreciated.

How are you getting that 2*(2⁴) equals 4⁴? :wink:
