solve e = 4g - 2f for f

the problem is:
solve for f
e=4g-2f

I have studied my text book and looked online but I am still very confused on how to solve this problem. I know that the problem involves inverse operations but that is about it. If you could please provide detailed help for this problem so that I can apply it to the rest of my problems I would appreciate it very much.

do this like if u had 1=4-2f
its the same steps but with letters
