### solving for a in 1/5 a+8 = -3/5 (a-15), for n in 1/8n + 6 =

having alot of trble with these 2 equations
1) solving for a:
1/5 a+8 = -3/5 (a-15)

2) solve for n: 1/8n +6= -5/8(n-6)

plsease explain answer thank you test is this sat.

Unfortunately, the current formatting leaves your meaning unclear. Do you mean any of the following?

. . . . .$\frac{1}{5(a\, +\, 8)}\, =\, -\,\frac{3}{5(a\, -\, 15)}$

. . . . .$\frac{1}{5a}\, +\, 8\, =\, -\,\frac{3}{5(a\, -\, 15)}$

. . . . .$\frac{1}{5}a \, +\, 8\, =\, -\,\frac{3}{5}(a\, -\, 15)$

Or something else?

Same question for this one. Sorry!

Note: The listed options for the first exercise can be typed, respectively, as follows:

. . . . .1/(5(a + 8) = -3/(5(a + 15))

. . . . .1/(5a) + 8 = -3/(5(a - 15))

. . . . .(1/5) a + 8 = -(3/5)(a - 15)

When you reply with clarification, please include a clear listing of the steps you've tried so far. Thank you!
