### Find the area of a cross section of a cube.

I want I could draw the hassle however I cant's so i'm able to try and give an explanation for it. i have a dice. The lenghts of the sides of the dice is eight. in the center of this cube there is a pass section inside the shape of a sqaure. The 4 corners of this square are the midpoints of the perimeters of the cube. I have to find the location of this pass segment. Can a person give me some recommendation on how to resolve this trouble? also, I would really like advice on a way to locate the place of any cross section inside a dice. Is there a general approach or technique to finding the areas of move sections of cubes?

### Re: Find the area of a cross section of a cube.

The "sides" (also called "faces") are squares with areas. Do you mean that the length of an "edge" of the cube is 8, so the area of a face is 8^2 = 64?
in the center of this cube there is a pass section inside the shape of a sqaure.
What is a "pass section"?
The 4 corners of this square are the midpoints of the perimeters of the cube.
What do you mean by the "perimeters of the cube"?
I have to find the location of this pass segment.
What is a "pass segment"? How does it relate to the "pass section"? Didn't they give you that the pass section is "in the center of this cube"?

In what way, specifically, are you needing to "locate" cross-sections?
Is there a general approach or technique to finding the areas of move sections of cubes?
What are "move sections"?
