Adding fractions with variables and solving for x.

These are fractions and you are to solve for x.

5/6+2/3x=3/4

if your problem is




then just subtract 5/6 from both sides then you can reciprocate both sides and solve for x

The process will be pretty much the same as outlined in the previous reply if your equation is as follows:

Subtract the 5/6 to the right-hand side, and simplify. Multiply both sides by 3/2, and simplify. :wink:
