### Finding Domain and Range with absolute value under radical

So these questions have an absolute value of x under the sqrt so i don't know how to do it.

1. a) y=3x^2 +1 / 5x^2 - 25

Is the domain all real number except 5 and range all real number except 0?

b). y= sqrt 2|x|-4 - all of it is under sqrt. Find Domain and Range

2. Find if function is even odd or neither

a) x^2 -x
b) 1+x^2 / |x|
c) x + sqrt x

I'm not seeing any square root or absolute values...? Also, what you have typed means the following:

. . . . .$y\, =\, 3x^2\, +\, \frac{1}{5x^2}\, -\, 25$

...but I have a feeling that this isn't what you meant...?

Please review how to format math and reply with clarifications. Thank you!

I think you mean the following:

. . . . .$y\, =\, \sqrt{2\left|x\right|\, -\, 4}$

To find the domain, determine the x-values for which the argument of the radical is non-negative. To find the range, graphing is a great way to start....
2. Find if function is even odd or neither

a) x^2 -x
b) 1+x^2 / |x|
c) x + sqrt x
