how do I solve log3(logx(log4^16))=-1

and also,

if log5=a and log36 = b, determine an expression for log 6/25 in terms of a and b

Convert the outer log to the corresponding exponential equation. Simplify to get:

. . . . .logx(log4(16)) = 1/3

Use The Relationship to evaluate log4(16) = log4(42). See where that leads... :wink:
