So I know .999 repeating equals 1. Because 1/3 = .333 repeating and 2/3 = .666 repeating. And if 1/3 + 2/3 =1 so .333 repeating + .666 repeating equals .999 repeating = 3/3 = 1.
So here's the question What is 1 - .111 repeating. According to this it would be .888 repeating. Is that correct, seems kind of weird.

Since 0.111... = 1/9, then 1 - 0.111... would equal 8/9, which is 0.888....
