Your formatting is ambiguous. Do you mean any of the following?

. . . . .$\frac{\left(\frac{12}{x\, -\, 1}\right)}{\left(\frac{6}{x}\right)}$

. . . . .$\frac{12}{x}\, -\, \frac{1}{\left(\frac{6}{x}\right)}$

. . . . .$\frac{12}{x}\, -\, \frac{\left(\frac{1}{6}\right)}{x}$

Or something else?

Try this lesson on complex fractions to learn the general process for simplification.

Once you've studied the basic terms and techniques, please attempt the exercise. If you get stuck, or if you are unsure of your answer, please reply with a clear listing of your steps and reasoning, using grouping symbols (or LaTeX) to make your meaning clear.

Thank you!
