I will guess that the original equation is as follows:

. . . . .$\frac{-7yt}{3x}\, =\, \frac{\, ?\, }{18xyt}$

...and that the instructions were something along the lines of "Find the expression which makes the two fractions similar." If so, then:

Find the value by which 3x was multiplied, in order to get 18xyt, and multiply -7yt by the same value.

What did you get when you divided 18xyt by 3x, to find what 3x had been multiplied by to get 18xty?

What did you get when you multiplied -7yt by this same value?

Please show your steps. Once we can see what you did, we'll have a better change to help you find where you may have gone wrong.

Thank you!
