The volume (V) of a sphere varies directly with the cube of its diameter (d3). When V = 288pi, d = 12. Write a direct varation function that expresses V as a function of d.

They have already provided variables and translated "the cube of the diameter" for you.

Now use the given information to convert the English description into the variation equation. Then plug the given values into your equation, and solve for the constant of variation.

The "answer" is the equation with the value of the constant plugged in.
