solve the equation. 2x/3-x/3=7/15 i am stuck on grouping the terms because they are both fractions.

I think you mean -

$\frac{2x}{3}\,-\,\frac{x}{3}\,=\,\frac{7}{15}$

This one is easy if you just

1) Factor out a 1/3 from each term on the left.
2) Combine what's left in parentheses.
3) Multiply both sides by 3 to clear the fraction on the left.
4) At this point you should have $x\,=$ a fraction. You need only reduce the fraction to lowest terms.
