The first step will be to convert the fractions to a common denominator.

Since the two denominators are 8d2k2 and 2bk2, the least (smallest) common denominator will be:

8d^2k^2: 2 * 2 * 2     * d * d * k * k
2bk^2: 2 * b * k * k
--------------------------------------
LCM: 2 * 2 * 2 * b * d * d * k * k

...or 8bd2k2.

So multiply the first fraction, top and bottom, by b; multiply the second, top and bottom, by 4d2.

Then add the numerators, and simplify if possible. :wink:
