What were the instructions for the above? What are you supposed to be doing with this? What is the meaning of the "(1,2)", and how does this relate to the two linear equations? What have you tried so far? Which methods have you been taught for solving systems of linear equations (assuming you're solving)? How far have you gotten in using one or another of those methods?

That appears to be a system of two linear equations in two variables and a point either known or given. That point is NOT a solution of the first equation. It is also not a solution of the system.
2=1+4, FALSE.
2=3*1+5, FALSE.

I haven't got the answer yet, but do I switch the numbers around to y-intercept form?

Yeh, that helps. They show how to use that form to do the graphing. Then the solution is where the lines cross.

How you solve graphically depends what you learned in your course up to now. What techniques are you expected to use? Do you make a coordinate table for each equation and plot the points and then draw a line? Do you convert each equation to Slope-Intercept form and use the features to plot each line? Either way, you identify the point where the two lines intersect, if they do intersect.
