factor a polynomial from 2n^2-11n+15

Postby mikebshaw » Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:24 am

I'm trying to help my son and I haven't done this stuff for 20+ years. His instructions are to factor a polynominal from:
2n^2-11n+15

Thanks,
Mike

To learn how to factor quadratics, please have your son study this lesson. He'll need the stuff covered in "The Hard Case", but he should study the prior pages so that the explanation in "The Hard Case" makes sense.

Then please have him attempt the exercise. If he gets stuck, he can then reply with a clear listing of his steps so far, at which point we can begin to work with him. Thank you!
