A. write and graph an equation showing the numbers of adult and children who could have attended a film which brought in $480 in ticket sales.


im fine when its comes to graphing equations, but when it comes to writing one i tend to have trouble.

Pick a variable for the adults. Pick another variable for the children.

Write an expression, in terms of the "adult" variable, that stands for the money paid for adult tickets.

Write another expression, in terms of the "child" variable, that stands for the money paid for child tickets.

Write an expression, using the two expressions you just created, that stands for the total paid.

Set this last expression equal to the given total.

Solve for one of the variables.

Graph the result.
