### Need help on Mixture problem (pecans & almonds)

Lynn sells pecans for \$6.50 per kilogram and almonds for \$9.10 per kilogram. How much of each kind should she mix to create 13kg of a blend that will be worth \$8.10 per kilogram?

Could anyone help me solve this. I am really bad at math.

Once you have learned the basic terms and techniques, the following should make sense.

. . .kilograms of input:
. . . . .pecans: p
. . . . .almonds: 13 - p
. . . . .mix: 13

. . .price per kg of input:
. . . . .pecans: 6.5
. . . . .almonds: 9.1
. . . . .mix: 8.1

. . .price of input:
. . . . .pecans: 6.5p
. . . . .almonds: 9.1(13 - p)
. . . . .mix: ...??...

Complete the table. Sum the input costs, set equal to the output cost, and solve for the variable. Back-solve for the required values.
