determine whether the following are functions: {(-5,-3)}

determine and state whether the following are functions. If so, state the domain and range. If not state why

{(-5,-3)}

I'm having trouble with this one, on all of the other problems there were multiple domains. EX : (1,3) (0,1) (-3,2)
But on {(-5,-3)} there is only one domain and one range.

I also need help with this one
1 2 1 2 1
_ - _ _ 3 -2 - _ 4 _
3 3 4 3 4

I have no idea how to do it since it's in fractions.

{(-5,-3)}

Mathematics relies upon definitions. What is the exact definition, as stated in your text, for a "function"?
