altitude length 1/3 length of side to which it is drawn

The length of an altitude of a triangle is one-third the length of the side to which it is drawn. If the area of the triangle is 6 square centimeters, find the length of that altitude.

the formula is A = bh/2 and they tell you that A = 6. use what they show here to pick a variable for the base (the side to which it is drawn which is the base) and then make an expression for the altitude (the height). plus these into the fomrula and solve for the variable.

if you get stuck, please write back with how far you got. thnx.
