Start on the inside and then work your way to the outside:

(4/5)[4 - (x/3 + 8) - 4x] + 5 = (14/15)x

(4/5)[4 - x/3 - 8 - 4x] + 5 = (14/15)x

You and multiply through by 15 here, to get rid of the fractions:

12[4 - 8 - 4x - (1/3)x] + 75 = 14x

12[-4 - (13/3)x] + 75 = 14x
