Please help how to solve...this is under quadratic inequality in one variable, but i dont understand the given sentence problem here is it...A company decided to increase the size of the box for the packing of their canned sardines,the leght of the original packaging box was 40 cm longer that its width,the height was 12cm, and the volume was at most 4,800cm...please help to solve

Whst does it want you to solve for? I suspect you have left out some important details from the problem. Will you please give us the entire problem?

they do length based on width so do a variable for width: w
then length is: L=w+40
they give you height: h=12
volume is: V=wLh
volume is "at most" means "no more than" or "less than or equal to": V<=4800
plug in & solve
