Hi Alejandra

The Inequalities: Linear section explains how to solve inequalities like this.

-9x - 4 > 50

Start by adding 4 to both sides.

We now have this:

-9x > 54

Next divide both sides by -9.

Since we are dividing by a negative number, the sign of the inequality must be reversed (changed to the opposite direction).

Final answer is: x < -6

-9x - 4 > 50

Well, if I'm not mistaken, -9x - 4 > 50 can be solved like this :

And since you are dividing by a negative number and you're using inequalities, you should flip the sign making it x < -6 or x is less than -6.
