Not really sure, I just know one of the expressions is -(-7x^2+4)

I just need help figuring out the other one

I'm sorry that your book has no examples or explanations, and that your teacher hasn't covered this at all. You might want to complain to the administration!

My guess (and that's all it is!)is that maybe you're supposed to multiply the "-" through the parentheses, and simplify. Good luck!
