For homework, I have been given four points and I want to figure out the equation for them. The points are:

(1,4)

(2,8)

(3,16)

(4,32)

The point is that the equation doesn't match all of the given points.

What is your equation? How did you get it?

Please reply as soon as possible by this evening.

**Have reasonable expectations.** If you have shown no progress or effort, the helpers may not, either. If you say that you "have no clue even how to start on this", you should expect to receive lesson links in reply, since your first task is to learn the missing material.
**Be patient.** There is no paid staff waiting on-hand to provide immediate replies. If you need that, pay a service which offers such. Posters should expect to wait hours, if not days, for a reply.

Sorry if this is too late.

You posted this to "Arithmetic", so you're not even in pre-algebra yet, so explaining with variables probably wouldn't help. So what methods did they give you in class for this? Thanks.
