I have problems with word problems. A saw blade 1/8 in. thick is used to cut a board. 1/8 inch of the board is turned into sawdust by the blade. If you cut a board into 4 pieces by making 3 cuts with a 1/8 inch saw blade how much board inches is turned to saw dust by the blade.

how many cuts did U make? (they say in the prob)
how wide R they? (they say int he prob)
so wats the total width? (add)
