Graphing or Scientific Calculator

Postby Gina » Thu Jun 11, 2009 11:08 am

I'm studying precalculus (algebra 1,2, and trigonometry), and I wondered which type of calculator I should familiarize myself with first. Are any of the functions in a graphing calculator needed for precalculus math & algebra?

You don't "need" a graphing calculator mathematically, but you may be required to have one. It would probably be a good idea to ask what model or type of calculator you'll be "expected" to bring to class.
