Matrix problem

Postby joaorob on Fri Feb 14, 2014 5:41 pm

Hello all,

if H is a 10x10 matrix

H =
[ h1,1 h1,2 ... h1,10 ]
[ h2,1 h2,2 ... h2,10 ]
[ ... ... ... ... ]
[ h10,1 h10,2 ... h10,10 ]

Can I get a 10x1 matrix C by a linear combination of the elements of H ? For example, C = A*H*B or something like that

C =
[ h1,1*h1,1/h1,1*h1,1 + h1,2*h2,1/ h1,2*h2,1 + h1,3*h3,1/h1,3*h3,1 + ... ]
[ h1,1*h1,2/h2,1*h1,1 + h1,2*h2,2/ h2,2*h2,1 + h1,3*h3,2/h2,3*h3,1 + ... ]
[ h1,1*h1,3/h3,1*h1,1 + h1,2*h2,3/ h3,2*h2,1 + h1,3*h3,3/h3,3*h3,1 + ... ]
[ ... + ... + ... + ... ]
[ h1,1*h1,10/h10,1*h1,1 + h1,2*h2,10/ h10,2*h2,1 + h1,3*h3,10/h10,3*h3,1 + ... ]

Thank you very much!

Multiply H on the right by any 10-by-1 column vector, and the result will be a linear combination.
