y=tan(pi*x)....
hv to draw a graph using this equation within the range [-0.5,0.5]..... now can u tell me how to proceed???? I need just a hint so that I can proceed myself....

Same ol', same ol': Pick x-values. Plug them in. Draw the dots. :wink:

(Since you already know that and are asymptotes for the "regular" tangent curve, you might find it helpful to set the argument, equal to these values. Then solve for the x-values that correspond to the asymptotes for this particular tangent curve. And so forth.)
