### Similar Triangles with Polyomial

I've run into a problem in my intermediate Algebra class, that involves two similar triangles. The smaller of the two triangles has sides that measure, 6, 12, 4x+2. The larger triangle has sides that measure, 10, 20, 4x+9. The equation given is; 6 over 10 is equal to 12 over 20 is equal to 4x+2 over 4x+9. I'm to solve for X then provide lengths for the sides, 4x+2 and 4x+9.
I've applied the cross product rule using 6 over 10 multiplied by 4x+2 over 4x+9. No matter what I do, I just can't make it work. I've watched videos on you tube etc, but none have examples with polynomials.

what did you do?

by the way, I'd make it easier by simplifying the 6/10 to 3/5. tehn you get: 3/5=(4x+2)/(4x+9) so 3(4x+9)=5(4x+2), 12x+27=20x+10, etc etc. plz show all your work. thnx!
