I cannot figure out how to simplify the following problem:
[sin(x)/tan(x)] + cos(x)tan(x)
The instructions are to simplify.
How do i go about this?
A good place to start might be to convert everything to sines and cosines, and see if anything cancels. Or you could try converting to a common denominator, and seeing if the combined fraction leads anywhere helpful.[sin(x)/tan(x)] + cos(x)tan(x)
