The equation of the directrix is x-1 = >0 ( it says it's positive)

The center of the ellips is at (1,1) ??

((x-h)^2)/(a^2) - ((y-k)^2)/(b^2)

For whatever reason, your equation is not rendering on my machine. How did you type it in?
Sorry, my mistake - The equation is : $\frac{(x-1)^2}{4}+\frac{(y-1)^2}{2} = 1$
