Newton's method  TOPIC_SOLVED

Use Newton's method with the initial approximation x1 = 1 to find x2, the second approximation to a root of the equation 3x2 - 6 = 0.

What are the steps to solving this problem? I have no idea where to get started (wish I did). I'd really appreciate some help.
