how to find real solutions to x^2 + 3x - 4 = 0  TOPIC_SOLVED

Easy question, just missed one part of the lesson: I know that x 2 + 3x - 4 = 0 has 2 solutions because of the degree of the equation. So my first assumption was to factor out a x and make the problem x(x+3)+4, but I realized that that would give me 3 solutions. So how exactly do I go about getting ...
