During the first part of a trip, a canoeist travels 44 miles at a certain speed. The canoeist travels 2 miles on the second part of the trip at a speed 5mph slower. the total time for the trip is 4 hrs. what was the speed on each part of the trip

i am 65 years old and very familiar with gas tanks i did not post to to ridiculed i an simply trying to relearn algebra to help my niece to learn and pass her course i cannot afford a tutor for her
