5y + 8 = 9. I understand -8 bolth sides = 5y = 1. this is where I get confused.... divide 5 each side 5y / 5 = 1 divided by 5..... [i know this is wrong but what im comprehending is] y = 5 divided by 1 wich cant be done I get the answers backwards when multiplying and thats where I need understandin...
