Ruben G. ...I loved giving personal attention to the exact area that each student had trouble with. I especially loved bragging about the coolest facts in math that were relevant in each particular situation. I was a tutor, but sometimes I felt like an entertainer as well (believe it or not). The fact that you want to be tutored makes you a better student than the others.

Neil M. ...Many of the people I have tutored have experienced success in math for the first time and that success was all they needed to change their mind, at least somewhat, on both counts. I love math, and it is very rewarding to see the shift in attitude about math that comes with a new level of success. It can be life changing.

Raffi H. It may seem strange to begin with a statistic, but I trust you will agree it's not wholly inappropriate. During the 2009-2010 school year, my 11 AP Chemistry students had a 100% pass rate with the following score distribution: Seven of them scored a 5, three scored a 4, and one scored a 3. The high scores are greater than three times the national average.
