Donna B. ...I believe you should ENJOY the math you are studying -- at least as much as possible! In addition, I feel my strength as a tutor is working with students who have had an uncomfortable experience in the past or have a bit of anxiety when it comes to math and its complexities. We deal with "test anxiety" in particular.

Barbara M. While working on my degree in chemistry at UMASS Boston I tutored students in general chemistry and calculus. I also ran a supplemental instruction group for the nursing chemistry class. I think I am able to explain things in such a way that students understand because the information did not always come easily to me.
